Following my recent passion for English post-punk heroes Joy Division, I have discovered a fantastic Norwegian band called "Monomen".The band appeared on stage at by:Larm 2006 in Tromsø, and blew me away. As we all know, Ian Curtis died in 1980, but I believe he was reborn as this kid from Sørumsand about 8 years later. This kid (yes, he is only 17 years old, though you wouldn't believe it) has an amazing dark, soulful voice, with a striking resemblance to the legendary Joy Division singer.
Monomen has so far only released one EP, but hopefully they will follow up with an album soon. You can listen to the EP online (the site is in Norwegian, but just click the speaker icons).
